Director Martin Scorsese teamed up with his daughter Francesca Scorsese for a playful TikTok video where he tried to match his films to snarky one-liner reviews from Letterboxd.
Francesca read several witty Letterboxd comments about her father's movies, and Martin had to guess which film each quip referred to. One notable review asked,
“Would Remy from ‘Ratatouille’ feel at home in ‘Goodfellas’?”to which Scorsese seemed to agree.
“Chat, do I need therapy for being SO attracted to De Niro in this?”Martin instantly identified the movie as Cape Fear.
Francesca captioned the video, “He taught me cinema, I taught him Letterboxd.”
The video was created in collaboration with Apple TV, coinciding with the release of the five-part documentary series Mr. Scorsese, which explores the filmmaker’s career.
Francesca, 25, often features her father in charming social media clips. For example, during Halloween, they participated in the “Beez in the Trap” trend, with Scorsese giving an intense look while Francesca dressed as the Kool-Aid Man.
