The first trailer for Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday is reportedly set to premiere this December alongside the release of James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash. Collider has learned from multiple sources that the first footage from the MCU's next big team-up film is scheduled to be attached to the latest installment of one of Disney's other blockbuster franchises, Avatar: Fire and Ash.
However, Collider noted that these plans could still shift before Avatar: Fire and Ash arrives in theaters on December 19, 2025. The film Avengers: Doomsday is currently scheduled to open almost exactly one year later, on December 18, 2026. As of publication, Disney has not yet commented on the report.
Avengers: Doomsday reportedly completed filming in September. Specific details about the plot remain limited, though insiders confirm it will unite the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, and the original cinematic X-Men for the first time in one film.
Several familiar Marvel actors — including Brie Larson, Famke Janssen, Elizabeth Olsen, Charlie Cox, Andrew Garfield, Halle Berry, and Chris Evans — have either denied or avoided confirming their return. Meanwhile, Channing Tatum, who reprises his role as Gambit, hinted at the film’s scale:
Tatum said that Avengers: Doomsday will include moments “50 times bigger” than when Wesley Snipes' Blade appeared in Deadpool & Wolverine.
This report highlights that the first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday may premiere with Avatar: Fire and Ash in December 2025, hinting at Marvel’s grand plans for its next major crossover event.
