FAISALABAD: Quinton de Kock’s unbeaten century and Nandre Burger’s four-wicket haul powered South Africa to a commanding eight-wicket win over Pakistan in the second ODI of the three-match series at Iqbal Stadium on Thursday.
The convincing victory leveled the series 1-1, with the final ODI set for Saturday at the same venue. South Africa chased down Pakistan’s 270-run target with ease, losing just two wickets and finishing 59 balls early.
South Africa started aggressively, thanks to a quick 81-run stand between openers Lhuandre Pretorius and de Kock. Pretorius was dismissed in the 12th over by Mohammad Wasim Jr, caught behind after scoring 46 runs off 40 balls, hitting seven fours and one six.
