The 2026 World Club Challenge will proceed as planned, with the Brisbane Broncos committed to traveling to the UK for the event.
The Broncos are scheduled to face Hull KR in February. The game is expected to be held at Hull FC’s MKM Stadium, which has a capacity of 25,500—about twice the size of Hull KR’s usual home ground, Sewell Group Craven Park.
There were initial concerns due to Hull KR's participation in the Las Vegas event in 2026. On March 1, Hull KR will play Leeds Rhinos in a Super League game in Las Vegas, which occurs just after the World Club Challenge weekend.
The Las Vegas game had caused unease among organisers about the impact on the World Club Challenge, since Hull KR must travel the weekend before.
Despite the concerns, the World Club Challenge match is set for Thursday, February 19.
