Tickets for the upcoming EuroNight service are expected to go on sale starting 4 November. A new night train is proposed to link Switzerland, Denmark, and Sweden directly, pending approval from the Swiss Parliament.
If approved, the service will begin in mid-April 2026, running three times weekly. Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) recently revealed plans for the train route connecting Basel to Copenhagen, Denmark, and Malmö, Sweden.
A spokesperson for SBB said the new service is “making climate-friendly travel to Northern Europe even more accessible” and “meets the growing demand for sustainable, cross-border mobility.”
This new night train will offer a sustainable, convenient overnight travel option spanning Switzerland to Sweden, covering 1,400 km with multiple stops across Germany and Denmark.
