The show explores "the strangest-but-true stories in human history" using reenactments, archival footage, and expert commentary. "I made the mistake of watching the premiere episode late at night. And living in Central Florida, the I-4 highway story got me."

"That was one of my favorites. I had heard about the I-4 highway story before the researchers proposed it for the show. I thought, ‘wow, this is a real thing.’ People I had spoken to many years ago told me this story."
About the clowns, he admits uncertainty:
"As for the clowns, I still don’t know, man. The fact there was this rumor in suburban America, and these clowns were appearing everywhere. Very haunting, very eerie, very creepy."
Alongside sharing stories from the series, Aykroyd reveals his personal connection to spiritualism through his family and a memorable encounter with Britney Spears linked to his interest in the paranormal.
