On October 14, 2025, young journalists from KidScoop Media met with education activist Malala Yousafzai via Zoom to discuss her latest memoir Finding My Way. The conversation offered insight into the experiences that shaped Malala during her years as an Oxford student.
In Finding My Way, Malala reflects on the joys and challenges of student life, exploring themes such as balancing advocacy and academics, personal growth, and emotional well-being. The memoir delves into how she navigated public attention while pursuing both her studies and her commitment to education rights.
“I have come against criticism, comments my whole life. And you know, I have now grown through it… I try to take any positive, good recommendation that can be helpful, but then there’s a lot that is not helpful at all and doesn’t add anything to the mission that I am focused on. So, sometimes, the best way is to avoid it.”
Her words reveal her continued dedication to her mission despite constant public scrutiny, showing maturity and resilience in maintaining focus on what truly matters.
Malala’s interview with KidScoop Media highlights her growth, resilience, and reflections on balancing activism, education, and personal well-being while studying at Oxford.
