As the Malveaux era begins its second season on the Plains, several newcomers will don the Orange and Blue at Jane B. Moore Field for the first time. This fall, we will introduce the 13 new members joining the program.
Abby Herndon, a left-handed pitcher from Killen, Alabama, has joined the Tigers after spending last season at Ole Miss. Although she did not play during her first collegiate year, Herndon boasts an impressive prep career, having been named all-state three times at Brooks High School.
Herndon: I was four when I started tee ball. I was around six when I actually started playing with a softball.
Herndon: We would always be in the yard, hitting off the tee and practicing at a very young age.
Herndon: I got her book when I was 10 and read it. She was always a player I watched.
Abby Herndon's transition to the Tigers reflects her strong foundation in softball and dedication from an early age, promising an exciting future in the Malveaux era.
