Megyn Kelly Criticizes Republican Party After Election Day Defeats

Megyn Kelly delivered a sharp rebuke to the Republican Party following their significant losses on Election Day. She accused conservatives of lacking the ability to win without Donald Trump’s leadership.

Election Results and Kelly’s Reaction

The election ended with major Democratic victories in California, New Jersey, Virginia, and New York City. Commenting on "The Megyn Kelly Show" Wednesday afternoon, Kelly expressed frustration with the party's focus on trivial debates rather than winning.

“The Republican party needs to get its s–t together ASAP,” Kelly said.

She criticized Republicans for spending too much time on inconsequential disputes.

“I’m really glad we spent the past couple of weeks, as Sean Davis of the Federalist put it, policing some young person’s group chat. What a podcast host said and what the head of a think tank over at Heritage had to say. I’m really glad that the Republicans devoted so much time to that. That was a great move.”

Kelly’s View on Republican Weakness

Kelly accused the party of embracing a losing mentality and being ineffective at campaigning without Trump.

“The Republicans like to lose. They enjoy when they are embattled and in a losing position and complaining. They do it really well.”

She emphasized that the party itself is not strong and criticized their dependence on Trump.

“Republicans don’t know how to win. They don’t know who to run,” she added. “They don’t know what to do when daddy’s not there to fly them across the finish line. And that’s just been so obvious.”

Author’s Summary

Megyn Kelly sharply argues that without Trump, Republicans lack the leadership and strategy needed to secure electoral victories.
