Three inmates have been charged with the murder of Kyle Bevan, who was found dead at HMP Wakefield in West Yorkshire.
All three men are serving prisoners at HMP Wakefield and have been formally charged in connection with Bevan's death.
Kyle Bevan, aged 33, was serving a life sentence with a minimum of 28 years for a brutal attack on two-year-old Lola James in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, in July 2020.
"A sustained, deliberate and very violent assault" was the crime for which Bevan was sentenced.
He had served only two and a half years of his sentence before being found dead.
Police were called to the category A prison, HMP Wakefield, at 8:25 AM on Wednesday, November 5.
"Three men, who are all serving prisoners, have been arrested on suspicion of murder."
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said on Friday:
"Detectives have charged three men with murder after the death of a prisoner at HMP Wakefield on Wednesday, November 5."
Kyle Bevan's death at HMP Wakefield led to the immediate arrest and charging of three fellow inmates for murder following his high-profile conviction for child abuse.
