Riley Keough's mother, Lisa Marie Presley, passed away on January 12, 2023. Since then, Riley has completed her memoir and experienced moments she believes are signs of her mother's approval.
Riley will soon mark the third anniversary of her mother's passing. Despite Lisa Marie no longer being on earth, Riley feels a deep, unexplainable connection, especially after co-writing her memoir, From Here to the Great Unknown.
At the Academy x Chanel Women’s Luncheon on November 4, Riley shared with PEOPLE her belief that she has received signs from her mother approving of the memoir.
“I think if you're open to those things, they're kind of everywhere,” Keough told PEOPLE.
She finished the memoir in 2023, shortly after Lisa Marie's passing. Riley said,
“So, I certainly feel connected to whatever that world may be. I do feel connected to it, yeah. There are certainly moments that are very... too weird to not be something.”
The 36-year-old did not specify the experiences but mentioned they will be detailed in the afterword of the paperback edition of the book, releasing November 11.
This is not Riley’s first encounter with the supernatural, a sensitivity she seems to have inherited from her mother. Lisa Marie, daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, was only nine when she sensed the approaching death of her famous father.
Lisa Marie seemed to sense what was coming before Elvis Presley's passing.
Riley’s experiences suggest a lasting bond that transcends the physical world.
Author's summary: Riley Keough shares how she feels a continued spiritual connection to her late mother Lisa Marie Presley, experiencing signs that affirm their bond beyond death.
