Hayley Williams shares another surprise track “Showbiz”

Hayley Williams Unveils Surprise Track “Showbiz”

To mark the physical release of her third solo album Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party, Hayley Williams revealed a surprise track titled “Showbiz.” The album officially dropped on vinyl today.

New Additions to the Album

“Showbiz” joins previously released surprise tracks “Good Ol Days” and “Parachute.” These songs were added after the original 17-track collection Williams released in the summer through her label Post Atlantic, distributed by Secretly Distribution.

Songwriting and Themes

Williams co-wrote “Showbiz” with producer and collaborator Daniel James, who contributed throughout the entire album. The song depicts a hazy, romantic night in a club, where Williams reminisces:

“I wanna do it again / I wanna dance in the strobe lights / I wanna choke on the smoke / And feel your eyes on me.”

She reflects on whether the experience held the same meaning for the other person involved.

Visualizer and Artwork

The visualizer for “Showbiz” showcases Nashville’s skyline and incorporates Williams' distinctive scribble artwork, which has been a consistent motif throughout the album’s visuals.

Celebrating the Vinyl Release

Record stores worldwide celebrated the album’s vinyl release with an event called “Ego Nite,” featuring record playback, merchandise, and physical copies of the LP.

Fans can listen to “Showbiz” and watch the visualizer as part of the album’s ongoing celebration.
