Rico Nasty invited Hayley Williams as a surprise guest during her concert at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles last night. The Paramore frontwoman performed alongside Rico on the track “Smack a Bitch,” from Rico’s 2020 debut album Nightmare Vacation.
After sharing vocals and dancing, the two artists embraced as the audience cheered loudly. Rico exclaimed,
“You guys had no idea!”
while Hayley waved goodbye to the crowd.
The show at the Fonda marked the concluding date of Rico Nasty’s Lethal North American tour, which began in September at Riot Fest. The tour promoted her third studio album, Lethal, released in May and her first with Fueled by Ramen.
Williams and Rico had collaborated on stage before; in 2023, Rico joined Paramore at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles to perform the band’s hit “Misery Business.” Rico shared with Billboard,
“It was an amazing experience. And it felt like, I don’t know, my inner child really jumped out. And I hadn’t seen her in a while. Like I hadn’t seen her in a while on stage. I hadn’t seen her in a while backstage, like amongst the team like that. So I was like, ‘Wow, like this feels nice.’ And then I got to talk to Hayley.”
This reunion on stage highlights the ongoing creative bond between the two artists.
