Photos of a brown leather Ka-Bar knife sheath, a key piece of evidence in the murder of four University of Idaho students, have been made public for the first time. The sheath was left behind by Bryan Kohberger after the fatal stabbings on November 13, 2022.
Kohberger purchased the sheath and the Ka-Bar knife, believed to be the murder weapon, from Amazon in March 2022. This was eight months before the murders and three months before he relocated from his parents’ home in Albrightsville, Pennsylvania, to Pullman, Washington.
Photos have been revealed for the first time of the key piece of evidence that led to Bryan Kohberger being unmasked as the murderer of four University of Idaho students.
The knife itself has never been recovered by authorities.
The release of forensic images of the Ka-Bar knife sheath strengthens the link between Kohberger and the murders, highlighting the pivotal role of genetic genealogy in solving this tragic case.
