Wendy's to Close Hundreds of U.S. Restaurants

CEO Statement
"When we look at the system today, we have some restaurants that do not elevate the brand and are a drag from a franchisee financial performance perspective," said interim Wendy's CEO Ken Cook during a quarterly earnings call on Friday, Nov. 7. "The goal is to address and fix those restaurants."
Cook also noted that while some closures are necessary, the company is looking for ways to retain certain locations that show potential for improvement.
