Shetland Series 10 Overview

The reliable crime drama Shetland returned on Wednesday with its 10th series. Tosh and Calder (played by Alison O’Donnell and Ashley Jensen) prepare for the arrival of a fishing boat rumored to be carrying drugs. Shortly after handling that case, they receive news of a dead body found in the village of Lunnswick.

“Retired social worker Eadie Tulloch was left outside her house for days, tethered to a post. Inside, the place showed no signs of disturbance. It was as if,” said Calder, “she was led out meekly, like an animal to slaughter.”

Adding complexity to the storyline is a new fiscal in town, Matt (Samuel Anderson), who reveals his struggles with a long-distance relationship with his girlfriend in Edinburgh.

Summary

The week’s TV offers a mix of familiar drama and new celebrity challenges, with Shetland standing out for its gripping storytelling and intriguing new characters.
