M&S Expands Logistics Partnership with Zalando

During Zalando’s Q3 results announcement, it was revealed that the UK retailer Marks & Spencer (M&S) has secured an expanded logistics agreement with Zalando.

Details of the New Agreement

M&S has maintained a limited partnership with Zalando since 2022, fulfilling European orders through three marketplace partners: Zalando, About You, and Amazon. Starting early next year, Zalando’s B2B logistics solution, ZEOS, will manage the entire online direct-to-consumer business for M&S across continental Europe.

Strategic Importance

Zalando also collaborates with another UK retailer, Next, highlighting British companies’ confidence in Zalando’s logistics capabilities and their ambition to grow in mainland Europe.

M&S Online Growth with Zalando

M&S reported a significant online sales increase with Zalando, showing a 131% growth compared to last year. The new partnership will cover 21 markets.

Benefits of ZEOS

ZEOS offers improved inventory management by “creating one single stock pool as well as an advanced order management system for Fashion, Home & Beauty products,” enhancing efficiency for M&S.

Zalando said the new logistics deal would help reduce delivery times across Europe by up to three days.

Summary: M&S’s expanded logistics deal with Zalando, powered by ZEOS, promises faster delivery and enhanced inventory management across 21 European markets.
