Glen Powell recently announced that he is secretly pursuing a bachelor's degree at a major university, demonstrating his ability to balance multiple talents.
Powel initially enrolled at the University of Texas in 2008 after high school but left to focus on his acting career in Los Angeles. Now, he is returning to complete his degree.
“I am enrolled at the University of Texas right now,” he told Variety. “It’s been nuts.”
He started as an economics major but later transferred to the radio-television-film program to finish his studies. Powell is taking six credits per semester and expects to graduate in spring 2027.
To celebrate his graduation, Powell invited his co-stars Josh Brolin and Lee Pace from The Running Man to join him for a party in Austin.
“I’ll throw a graduation party if you guys want to tear it up in Austin.”
The University of Texas’s radio-television-film program offers students hands-on experience with the latest technology, preparing them for success in various media and entertainment careers.
Despite his Hollywood fame, Powell is choosing to gain formal education in the field for a thorough understanding.
Glen Powell is committed to completing his bachelor’s degree in radio-television-film, balancing his acting career with academic pursuits to deepen his expertise.
