On November 6, deputies from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office North Area Substation in Buttonwillow responded to reports of multiple fraudulent credit card uses, totaling thousands of dollars, at a truck stop on Lagoon Drive.
Investigation Findings
- Investigators discovered that the four suspects used three trucks and several containers—including fuel tanks and five-gallon water bottles—to steal diesel fuel.
- Two vehicles were located at a hotel nearby, leading to the arrest of Yasel Yedra Rodriguez, 42, of Houston, and Yoagner Torres Rodriguez, 42, of Las Vegas.
- Authorities recovered computers and electronic devices typically used for credit card skimming.
- On November 7, the third truck was found, and Rolando Martin Santos, 37, and Aneysi Afonso Amuedo, 34, both from Houston, were arrested for diesel theft.
- These suspects were also found in possession of electronic equipment used for card skimming.
