Before the season started, Gonzaga’s Graham Ike appeared on several preseason award watch lists and All-Conference teams. After a strong start to the year, especially his performance in Gonzaga’s 90-63 win over No. 23 Creighton, he is expected to be added to many midseason lists as well.
The 6-foot-9 forward from Aurora, Colorado, led all scorers with 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, marking his third consecutive double-double. Ike began the game just nine points shy of 2,000 career points, reaching the milestone quickly.
"He's amazing — I mean, he's amazing how he can just time and time again deliver and deliver and deliver, and a lot of them are not easy shots," Gonzaga head coach Mark Few said after the game.
Following the game, both Graham Ike and Mark Few shared their thoughts on the milestone and the impressive win. Ike’s continued strong play is becoming a defining feature of Gonzaga’s season.
Graham Ike’s rapid achievement of 2,000 career points highlights his emerging role as a key player in Gonzaga’s successful season.
