Update: Greene and Washington counties placed under a tornado warning Saturday night – take cover now

An updated tornado warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 10:31 p.m. for Greene and Washington counties. “At 10:31 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Waynesburg, moving east at 45 mph,” the weather service stated. “Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris. Tornadoes are extremely difficult to see and confirm at night.
