Customers can use AR to see how products would look in their home, and VR to explore products in a more immersive way.
John Lewis' new store is part of the company's £1 billion investment in its business over the next five years.
“We’re committed to helping our customers make the most of their time and money, and our new store is designed to do just that,” said John Lewis managing director Paula Nickolds.
“We’re using technology to make shopping more fun and engaging, while also providing more expert advice and support from our staff,” she added.
