Doug Lebda, LendingTree Founder, Dies in Tragic ATV Accident
Doug Lebda, CEO and founder of LendingTree, died in an ATV accident on his family farm in North Carolina, the company announced on Monday.
Lebda was 55 years old and is survived by his wife and three daughters, Rachel, Abby, and Sophia.
“The news of losing Doug was devastating,” said Scott Peyree, who has been appointed as the new CEO.
Peyree, who served as the chief operating officer and president, will take over as CEO effective immediately.
LendingTree confirmed Lebda's death on Sunday, stating that the company "deeply mourns his passing."
