Heber drivers can expect a new traffic light to be turned on by the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) on north U.S. 40.
The traffic light, located at the intersection of Coyote Canyon Parkway and U.S. 40, aims to increase safety, particularly for those turning left into and out of the Coyote Ridge neighborhood.
"We have to wait for it to dry out, and then we've got to paint some lines on the roads,"
UDOT regional spokesperson Wyatt Woolley stated that the light requires some additional work before it's operational. After completing the necessary tasks, UDOT will conduct testing to ensure the light functions as intended.
"If everything goes according to plan, it should be up and running by this Friday,"
Woolley said, with the possibility of it being ready the following week if any issues arise.
