Ubisoft's iconic stealth-action franchise has made its streaming debut with Splinter Cell: Deathwatch, but it fails to live up to the Splinter Cell name.
Despite some fun moments and stellar animation, the series is a sad reminder that Ubisoft has no idea what to do with Sam Fisher, the protagonist of the series.
As a long-time Splinter Cell fan, it's irking to see Sam Fisher casually walk in front of a security camera, something the Sam Fisher I know would never do.
The character of Sam Fisher has been pulled in different directions over the years, diluting his original persona. In 2006, Ubisoft killed Sam's daughter and sent him to prison, further altering his character.

Overall, Splinter Cell: Deathwatch is a disappointing adaptation of the beloved game series.
