A 57-year-old man, John Sheehan, from Lisduane, Granagh, died in a single-vehicle collision on Sunday, October 12, 2025.
The accident occurred near Dromcollogher, on the R519 road between Kilmeedy and Dromcollogher, in the townland of Callahow, around 7pm.
Sheehan had volunteered as a motorbike marshal at a charity event earlier that day and was remembered for giving up his time almost every weekend at various charity events around County Limerick.
The road was closed for a forensic examination, and Sheehan was pronounced dead at the scene.
