A local music shop, Yale’s Music Shop, has closed its doors after suffering extensive damage due to a school bus crash in May.
In the early hours of May 25, a small school bus crashed into the side of the shop, leaving a gaping hole and causing significant damage. The driver left the scene with non-life-threatening injuries.
During clean-up efforts, asbestos was found among the debris, deeming products such as books, music, acoustic instruments, and other accessories unsafe due to asbestos contamination.
The Yale Family announced the permanent closure of the store in a Facebook post.
