Adventurer who visited every library in Norfolk prepares for new challenge
A man who visited every library in Norfolk is preparing for his final challenge.
Malcolm Metcalf, from Gorleston, completed an amazing 90 challenges in his 90th year, including visiting all 48 libraries in the county, which he called a
“privilege”. He praised the librarians for their warm welcomes and refreshments.

- the Thomas Brown Medical Library at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital
- Bradwell Community Library
- Norwich Cathedral Library
His challenge extended beyond libraries, with him visiting 38 round tower churches and 92 village signs across the county.
Malcolm’s next challenge is a mammoth jigsaw puzzle sale at the Shrublands Youth and Adult Centre on Magdalen Way, Gorleston, on Saturday October 25 from 1-4pm.
