Kildare have made history, claiming seven spots on the 2025 Joe McDonagh Cup team of the year after their first-ever Joe McDonagh Cup success.
It was a notable year for Kildare hurling, as they built on their fifth Christy Ring Cup success from the previous year. They fought their way to Croke Park and defeated Laois to claim the Joe McDonagh Cup, earning promotion to the Leinster senior hurling championship for 2026.
Laois keeper Cathal Dunne also earned his place on the team after a miraculous double save in the final.
