Waymo Expands to London with Autonomous Ride-Hailing
Waymo has announced plans to launch its fully autonomous ride-hailing service in London, UK, starting in 2026.
The company will offer fully autonomous rides via the Waymo app, complementing London’s public transport and pedestrian infrastructure network.
Waymo is partnering with Moove to prepare for the launch and will secure necessary permissions from local and national leaders.
With over 100 million fully autonomous miles logged on US public roads and over 10 million paid rides delivered, the company now faces the challenge of adapting to the UK's distinct road conditions.
Waymo has already logged over one hundred million fully autonomous miles on U.S. public roads and delivered more than ten million paid rides to customers.
