SGA passes bill regulating, restructuring ‘inactive’ Student Court

SGA Passes Bill Regulating Student Court

The Student Government Association (SGA) senators have amended the SGA's bylaws to restructure the Student Court, requiring it to meet monthly and issue monthly reports on its activity.

The Judicial Branch Bylaws Establishment Act was passed unanimously, mandating the Student Court to meet at least four times a semester and establishing two lower courts to hear cases before they reach the full panel of seven justices.

The Student Court, the SGA's judicial branch, will now be required to issue monthly reports to the legislative and executive branches.
