UK Spearheads Polar Climate Change Research
The UK's flagship polar research vessel, RRS Sir David Attenborough, is set to depart for Antarctica to support various climate change-related science projects.
Operated by the British Antarctic Survey (BAS), the vessel will aid research on topics such as underwater tsunamis, glacier melt, and whale populations.

BAS oceanographer Peter Davis expressed regret over the US withdrawing from scientific exploration in the region, calling it "a shame".
