New Season of Documentary Series Streaming on Netflix
Sarnia filmmaker Sami Khan is working on a project with high-profile connections, including LeBron James, Peyton Manning, and Barack and Michelle Obama.
Khan is a co-executive producer of Starting 5, a documentary series following five NBA stars for a season. The eight-episode second season, streaming now on Netflix, features players like Tyrese Haliburton and Jaylen Brown.
“For a show like this, that requires so many things to break right and people and lawyers to agree to it, it takes a high-level village” to make it happen.
Khan noted that the incredible access they get is primarily due to the characters themselves.
