Despite the growth in Eagle Mountain, city leaders want to preserve open spaces and revitalize outdoor areas.
The city received $100,000 from the Utah County Commission in October to improve a local trailhead, an experiment to scale up efforts with open spaces around town.
"If they could do more park area, reserve more property for the public, I'm all for that,"
said Jamie, a nearby resident. The funds will turn a gravel circle at the end of Ruby Valley Drive into parking spots and add signage to the trailhead.
