Sen. Hickenlooper on Healthcare and Shutdown Tactics
Sen. Hickenlooper believes that the stakes for healthcare warrant shutdown tactics. Democrats are pushing for an extension of health care tax credits in order to reopen the government.
Some Congressional Republicans, including those from the Colorado delegation, have expressed support for extending a tax credit to lower healthcare costs. However, when asked if he is confident they would deliver on this without the pressure of a shutdown, Hickenlooper expressed skepticism.
