According to a recent development, Israel and Hamas have agreed to the "first phase" of President Donald Trump's peace plan.
The news broke when Evan Vucci, a photographer covering President Trump at a roundtable event, noticed Senator Marco Rubio slipping Trump a note. The note, written on White House stationery, read:
"You need to approve a Truth Social post soon so you can announce deal first."
This prompted Trump to announce that a deal in the Middle East was near. An hour later, Trump confirmed that Israel and Hamas had agreed to pause fighting and release some hostages, prisoners, and detainees.
