The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has discovered a significant trail of unaccounted wealth belonging to the arrested Executive Director of the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), following raids across multiple cities.
The officer, caught accepting a bribe of Rs 10 lakh on October 14, is now at the center of a widening corruption probe. Searches at his office and residences in Guwahati, Ghaziabad, and Imphal recovered Rs 2.62 crore in cash and numerous documents related to real estate and investments.
