Tasmania has achieved a remarkable redemption in the Sheffield Shield, securing a three-run victory over Western Australia.
After a narrow loss the previous summer, Tasmania managed to take two late wickets, claiming a thrilling win. Western Australia was close to their target of 259, with two wickets in hand and only seven runs needed.
The turning point came when Joel Curtis was adjudged lbw on 50 by a Riley Meredith ball. Jackson Bird then delivered the final blow, trapping No.11 Liam Haskett lbw with an in-swinging yorker, ending Western Australia's chase at 255.
Tasmania pulled off one of the tightest wins in Sheffield Shield history.
