Gun Store Owner Sentenced for Involuntary Manslaughter
Judge Rode sentenced Jon Whitley, owner of Coastal Firearms, to 25 days in jail for the 2021 involuntary manslaughter of his employee, Steven Mrgan.
Whitley entered a guilty plea and will serve his sentence over five years, with five days in jail from November 5 every year, in addition to completing community service with an organization that supports military families.
Whitley will serve a total of 25 days in jail, and complete community service with an organization that supports military families who have a spouse.
