Warning to Homeowners: Climber Rats Invading Homes
Rentokil is warning Irish households about rats that can easily climb into buildings, especially as the weather gets cooler and they seek warm shelter.
The pest control specialists advise that there are two main types of rats in Ireland: the brown rat and the black rat, with some species being "excellent climbers".
