Austin Stacks have secured a spot in the Kerry senior football championship final for the first time since 2021, defeating Rathmore 1-16 to 1-9.
Paddy Lane and Joe O’Connor led the charge, combining for 1-10. At half-time, Austin Stacks were ahead 0-8 to 0-4, thanks to scores from Jordan Kissane, Lane, and O’Connor.
In the second half, Kissane and O’Connor added more points, giving Austin Stacks a six-point lead within four minutes of the restart. Despite Rathmore's efforts to close the gap, Lane's point from play made it 0-14 to 0-8 with 11 minutes to go.
The decisive moment came in the 53rd minute when
Joe O’Connor burst through and rattled the Rathmore net, leaving his team with a significant advantage.
