The project, located near the township of Brooweena, will be built on a 555-hectare site currently used for agricultural purposes. The solar farm will feature approximately 600,000 solar panels, and the battery energy storage system will be sized at 180 MW and 360 MWh.
The project has been sent to the Australian government's Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Act queue for assessment.
