Residents Warned of Damaging Winds in Southeast NSW

Residents across the Southern Inlands are advised to prepare for hot and windy weather, which may cause falling trees and powerlines.

A severe weather warning has been issued by the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM), forecasting damaging winds across the region and other parts of NSW on October 22.

The BoM predicts a "hot and gusty day" with average wind speeds of 55-65 km/h and possible gusts of around 90 km/h in the morning.

A "hot and gusty day" is expected across parts of the Southern Tablelands and Southern Highlands as a frontal system moves across the state.

A high chance of thunderstorms is expected in the afternoon and evening.
