The federal government has refused to disclose the reason behind the cancellation of a contract for refurbished military vehicles for Ukraine with Armatec Survivability, a Canadian company based in Dorchester, Ont.
Defence Minister David McGuinty told the House of Commons defence committee that his department had cancelled the contract to refurbish 25 light armoured vehicles, but said he couldn’t explain the reason behind the decision.
