Guilty Verdict in Care Home Fraud Case
The former manager and owners of a Brierley Hill Care Home have been found guilty of defrauding an "elderly and vulnerable" resident out of £175,000.
The former owners, Graham and Lyn Walker, and the home's former manager, Jamiel Slaney-Summers, were found guilty of defrauding Rita Barnsley by altering her will.
A jury at Wolverhampton Crown Court reached a unanimous guilty verdict in under 90 minutes after a four-week trial.
Make no mistake, they (Mr and Mrs Walker and Slaney-Summers) know exactly what they did.
