Microsoft has confirmed that seeing duplicate driver updates on Windows 11 versions 25H2 and 24H2 is safe to ignore.
According to a support document published on October 22, Windows 11 versions 25H2 and 24H2 are optimized to handle drivers better than previous versions.
Microsoft notes that
drivers are mostly built by third-party companies, such as Qualcomm, Intel, Lenovo, HP, among others, while some generic Windows drivers are developed by Microsoft.
These generic drivers are included in Windows to handle use cases when OEM drivers do not work or run into issues.
