Disaster Aid Distribution in Western Alaska
The State of Alaska has started distributing disaster relief payments to residents of western Alaska affected by storm damage from ex-Typhoon Halong, with over $217,000 distributed as of Friday.
The state has received more than 940 applications for individual assistance, according to the Alaska Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. Applications are open on the state's website until November 9.
