Health Infrastructure has announced new details about the plans for the $200 million redevelopment of Bathurst Hospital.
Pre-construction activity has begun on the hospital campus, with site fencing and sheds being established as part of the early works.
The project was announced in June 2022, but has faced delays, with construction initially forecast to start in early 2024, then revised to the first quarter of 2025.
Health Minister Ryan Park attributed the recent delays to "issues working out the contractual arrangements with the team from Health Infrastructure and the contractor".
The redevelopment is expected to bring significant changes to the hospital campus.
