Waymo co-CEO on Robotaxi Vandalism
Waymo co-CEO Tekedra Mawakana discussed the vandalism of its cars at TechCrunch Disrupt 2025.
Waymo, the leading robotaxi company in the US, has faced vandalism multiple times in the last year, including a recent incident in Los Angeles.
“Obviously, vandalism is a crime, so we’re very focused on working with law enforcement to make sure that we pursue the people who are committing these crimes against our fleet,”
Mawakana emphasized that damaging property is not acceptable, stating
“We’re not standing for it.”
