Georgiana Wraps Up Season with Big Win

Georgiana's football team secured a playoff spot with a dominant 48-3 win over Pleasant Home, finishing regional play 5-2 and earning the third seed ahead of their Nov. 7 matchup with Southern Choctaw.

The Panthers dominated regional opponent Pleasant Home, 48-3, to improve to 5-2 in regional play and secure the third seed in the region.

"We played extremely well on both sides of the ball,"
said head coach Berry Bess.
"Offensively we have heavily relied on the run game and establishing the line of scrimmage and we were able to do so."

Bess credits their success to the players in the trenches. The offensive and defensive line groups have established themselves up front, helping the run game for the offense and negate the run game on defense. Seniors Marctavious Crittenden and Kaderius Williams have shown up big time recently and especially in this game.

Author's summary: Georgiana wins big.
